I’m a senior archaeologist, heritage professional, and writer based in Tofino, British Columbia.
I’ve spent 20 years working on major infrastructure and resource projects across BC, including pipelines, LNG, mining, transportation, forestry, bridge and road construction, transmission/utility infrastructure, and First Nation-led project contexts.
My work has included archaeological assessment, monitoring, reporting, Heritage Conservation Act permitting, field strategy, crew leadership, Indigenous engagement, and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.
Through Green Spring Research Inc., I provide senior archaeological contracting, heritage-informed environmental project support, and practical documentation/workflow development for archaeology and environmental project work.
Outside of project work, I write about west coast life, Tofino, recovery, human adaptation, and the practical work of building things. Momhak is part of that writing and practice: breathwork, cold exposure, movement, recovery, and mind training, grounded in lived experience rather than performance.
When I’m not working, I’m usually in the ocean, on a trail, or somewhere around Tofino with a coffee.
